“FORK IT OVER” – A partnership event with Mayfield Rotary Club supporting Myeloma Research UofA and Cross Cancer Institute
Over the past two years, our organization, Myeloma Alberta Support Society, has been designated by the Edmonton Mayfield Rotary Club for financial and “sweat equity” support from the Club. One of the events they create is the dinner called “Fork It Over”, held annually in February.
FORK IT OVER 2016 –
Of February 27th several members of Myeloma Alberta Support Society joined with the Mayfield Rotary Club and guests for a fun filled evening around a Mexican theme. This even was once again all it promised to be. Financial funds raised will be used to support Myeloma Research at the University of Alberta and the Cross Cancer Institute. FORK IT OVER – 2015 – Raised $5000 towards Myeloma Research at UofA and Cross Cancer Institute
On January 30, 2015 the Edmonton Mayfield Rotary Club held their 15th Annual Dinner and Silent Auction Fund Raising Event. This year, through Ted LeLacheur, the Mayfield Rotary Club invited Myeloma Alberta Support Society to join their event, the goal was two fold: to generate awareness of myeloma and also provide financial support for myeloma research at the University of Alberta and the Cross Cancer Institute.
Big thanks to Greg Wilkes for creating the Multiple Myeloma display and to Dr. Eli Adler and the Trans America Group for the donation of an Inuit Carving for the Super Silent Auction and providing the signage for the display.
